Time is the work.
We never rush. Every session has room to breathe, every retouch has time to settle. A polished photograph is built one careful decision at a time.
A photography studio in Lebanon built on a single belief. That every image carries a feeling, and a feeling is worth taking time over.
Where memories find their forever frame.
Fatema Chamass is the photographer, art director, and founder of Parapluie Studio. She built the studio in 2019 around one simple idea. That a portrait should feel like the person, not the camera.
Her work is rooted in painting and old fashion editorials. Soft directional light, considered colour, and a calm room. She likes the moment between poses more than the pose itself, the half breath where a sitter forgets to perform and starts to feel.
Over the past six years she has photographed mothers, families, designers, magazines, and brands across Lebanon. Some of her favourite work still happens in the same one room studio in Baabda where it all began.
We never rush. Every session has room to breathe, every retouch has time to settle. A polished photograph is built one careful decision at a time.
The person in front of the lens is the project. Wardrobe, light, and direction are shaped around them. We want the photograph to look like the day, not the studio.
Skin should look like skin. Cloth should look like cloth. We retouch with restraint, removing distractions and never the things that make a face a face.
Photography is more than a profession. It is the patience to wait for the moment a person forgets they are being seen.
A working studio in Brasilia Baabda. Three setup areas, a full wardrobe room, a hair and prep corner, and a quiet lounge for partners and family between sessions.
Studio visits are by appointment. Bring an idea, bring a question, or come just to see the wardrobe and meet the team.
